For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves,  it is  the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB)

Grace = why
Faith = how
Good works = what for
**IMPORTANT! We have to make sure that we DO NOT mix these up!**

So what is faith?
Faith is the absence of doubt.
 
Saving Faith
»Saving faith is absolute.
Once saved, always saved.
 
»Saving faith is absolutely authoritative.
2 Timothy 3:16
The word of God is the absolute authority of our life. So we must read our Bibles!
 
»Saving faith is absolutely objective.
It’s true whether we like it or not.
 
»Saving faith is absolutely productive.
 
The absolute goal of our salvation is Jesus Christ! To be with Him. We haven’t experienced true joy until we have been face to face with Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ alone is necessary for our salvation! So we must Humble ourselves before God and place our Faith in Jesus Christ.

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NASB)
